AETHER
ROLE: DESIGNER / ART DIRECTOR — CONCEPT PROJECT
-
AETHER is a conceptual fragrance brand and world-building exercise—developed as both a creative exploration and a proof of capability in integrating AI-driven workflows into the design process.
Beginning with a hypothetical product, I built a fully realized brand universe spanning identity, packaging, and editorial campaign—demonstrating how emerging tools can support, rather than replace, intentional creative direction.
Rooted in ancient mythology, the project draws from figures such as Narcissus and the Naiads—water nymphs associated with sacred springs—reframing classical narratives through a contemporary, atmospheric lens.
-
Translate an intangible, sensory idea into a cohesive and immersive brand system.
AETHER was not driven by a commercial brief, but by feeling—something ethereal, sacred, and quietly seductive. The challenge was to define a visual language that could hold this tension: between visibility and obscurity, material and immaterial, human and divine.
At the same time, the project served as an exploration of AI-assisted workflows, requiring a high level of authorship and discernment to guide outputs, refine image-making, and maintain a consistent point of view across all touchpoints.
-
I developed AETHER as a complete brand ecosystem, beginning with concept and art direction and extending through identity design, packaging, and editorial storytelling.
The brand is set within a mythic landscape—a hidden forest pool beneath a moonlit sky—where reflections, water, and light become central visual motifs. The identity system balances restraint and sensuality: refined typography, a minimal yet atmospheric palette, and a logo suite designed to feel both timeless and elusive.
Packaging design emphasizes tactility and ritual, drawing subtle inspiration from legacy fragrance houses such as Dior, while reinterpreting these codes through a more ethereal, contemporary lens.
Using AI as a collaborative tool, I directed and refined a series of campaign images that evoke a sense of suspended time—figures emerging from shadow, surfaces catching light, and environments that feel both natural and otherworldly. The result is a cohesive visual narrative that extends seamlessly across product, imagery, and editorial expression.
-
AETHER exists as a fully realized conceptual brand—demonstrating my ability to originate and direct a complete visual world from a singular idea.
The project expands my practice beyond execution into authorship, positioning me as a designer capable of building immersive, emotionally resonant brand systems that bridge concept, craft, and emerging technology.
